Nothing is more terrifying than a blank page - starting something new is scarier than clowns are. So write something down. Draw something. Begin. If you start, then it won’t be blank anymore.
Seriously. The best way to get over the fear of how to start is just to start. Don’t worry about the quality at first, that will come with time. Just start it.
If you wait for the perfect words to come, for the perfect conditions in which to create, then you will be waiting forever.
Instead, build a habit of action. Habits are created by doing the same things over and over again. So just keep creating.
You’ll find it will quickly creep into other areas of your life and you’ll be surprised by the creativity that you can find in yourself when before you never would have thought of yourself as a creative person.
Practice makes better (never perfect), and practice only comes when you start. So start today, right now.
